East Walnut Hills Mural

“East Walnut Hills Legacy”
A project of the 2008 ArtWorks Summer Program
  • Schullhoff Tool Rental Building - 2701 Woodburn Ave.  Cincinnati, OH 45206
  • In partnership with the East Walnut Hills Assembly and the East Walnut Hills Community
  • Mural to be dedicated Fall 2008

The East Walnut Hills mural consists of 15 panels, at 180 feet wide, spanning the façade of Schulhoff Tool Rental.  The 5-foot tall panels alternate colors in monochromatic schemes of sepia and green copper tones.  The sepia-toned images are pictures of historical East Walnut Hills depicting:  an old fashioned trolley and fire truck, the East Walnut Hills bell, and St. Ursula Academy.  The green copper toned images feature the architectural details of buildings currently found throughout the surrounding community.  Each panel is framed and incorporates a caption with the date of the image depicted or a piece of historical information, detailing the image.
