"Heart of the Community"
- 3301 Beekman St. Cincinnati, OH 45225, Millvale Community Center in Millvale
- A project of the 2007 ArtWorks Summer Program
- Mural dedicated September 2007
Painted on the side of the Millvale Community Center is a mural that was created as a reflect all of the hope and community that is contained within and spread by the Center. The mural is made up of images that on any given day might be seen day inside the walls of this building—cheerleaders dancing, two boxers practicing, kind smiles. There is always palpable energy inside the Center, and the Apprentices who worked there seemed to have only added to it, often laughing as they painted. When asked which project she would be on if she could choose any project, Polly Wilson replied, “I don’t know…I like this one!”
